    FLSA Status:  Non Exempt

    Department:   Food and Beverage

    Position Summary:  Providing guests with prompt service and high quality food and beverages.

     

    Position Responsibilities

    • Prepping ingredients for consumption
    • Making food and beverages to order
    • Follow a compliance and food safety culture that mitigates legal risk
    • Follow proper storage, FIFO and date marking procedures to maintain freshness and food safety
    • Use the proper mark-out procedures to process and record sampling and damaged or poor-quality product
    • Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
    • Friendly, positive, helpful and team-oriented
    • Willing to learn new skills to help the store, the team and themselves
    • Report to work for all shifts on time; leave and return to work on time from all meals and breaks
    • Monitor and record temperature-sensitive food items as outlined
    • Work safely to prevent accidents
    • Comply with established dress and uniform guidelines, including name badge and hair restraint; following personal grooming, hand washing and hygiene procedures.
    • Ensure all food safety, sanitation and cross contamination rules are followed while producing, displaying, holding and storing food items
    • Maintain a neat, clean, inviting dining area for guests all day, every day
    • Keep food prep and offstage food areas neat, clean, well organized and visually appealing to guests
    • Keep department clean, organized, signed and zoned
    • Follow cleaning and sanitation guidelines to meet all food safety and brand standards
    • Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills and Ability 

    • Baking experience
    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • Cheerful and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
    • Ability to cross-train and work in other areas of the store
    • Must successfully pass a nationally recognized Food Safety Manager Certification course and exam
    • Must be able to meet any “Food Handlers” license/card training
    • Ability to multi task in a fast-paced organization
    • A superior work ethic
    • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues

     

    Preferred Skills

    • Bilingual
    • 1+ year of progressive work experience

     

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Ability to scan and handle all merchandise
    • Able to think quickly on the spot to resolve guest questions
    • Ability to read labels and other product information
    • Ability to read instructions, recipes, reports and information on computer screens, and to key information on computer and RF Unit keyboards
    • Able to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
    • Ability to lift 40 pounds
    • Ability to place and arrange items on all shelves and racks on the sales floor
    • Ability to move merchandise with appropriate equipment (e.g., tubs, carts, flats, etc.) to and from stockroom
    • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
    • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
    • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
    • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
