Responsibilities

As an Events and Outreach Marketing Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to execute experiential marketing initiatives and provide daily support to the marketing management team. The Events and Outreach Marketing Coordinator will lead the events function by thinking through all elements of event activation logistics, our visual and physical presence onsite and how best to measure the success of activations.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Planning, developing, and executing experiential marketing activations to support the core business strategies
  • Work with our Management Team to execute our event strategy, including but not limited to, tracking and reviewing experiential marketing activities
  • Proactively manage project timelines effectively and communicate with cross-functional team members to achieve milestones
  • Provide on-site logistical support prior to, during, and following events/activations
  • Help maintain leads generated through events, and guide post-event communications
  • Distill actionable insights from activations and measure impact of efforts
  • Maintain tracking systems for marketing deliverables, initiatives, and assets
  • Oversee/execute multiple events from beginning to end, often occurring simultaneously
  • Work with teams across the organization to ensure the vision for our organization is being met
  • Coordinate shipping logistics to all event locations
  • Stay in tune with latest trends in consumer and experiential marketing
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Ability 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field required
  • 1-3 years’ experience in events, or experiential marketing industry, or related field requiring creative concepting, brainstorming, and implementation
  • Must be a clear communicator and consensus builder, highly organized, very detail-oriented, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and ability thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management, organizational, data/analytical, and creative skills
  • Ability to proactively identify opportunities and quickly implement solutions
  • Capable and driven to quickly learn new technologies and continually upgrade current skill set
  • Must be very flexible and able to work in a self-directed, rapidly changing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office software suite

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in marketing, sports marketing, communications or related field
  • Interest in sports
  • Bilingual
  • Database marketing/CRM experience a plus

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The role will occasionally require extended and weekend hours during peak seasons
  • The role may require lifting, moving, pushing or pulling equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time
  • Must be able to move around campus, which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays
