Job Title:  Head, Leadership

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Department:  Athletic & Personal Developmnt

Position Summary:  Develops and delivers instructional curriculum for students in the areas of intra-/interpersonal skills, leadership, communication, and personal presence.  Educate, train and supervise leadership coaches and interns.  Participate in the recruitment, management and development of the leadership department.


Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and document instructional curriculum for secondary and post-secondary student athletes and professional athletes in the areas of personal and group dynamics, communication, self-awareness and intra/interpersonal skills.
  • Deliver curriculum in a highly interactive, experiential, and dynamic fashion, including role-play, games, and demonstrations
  • Work with teachers, coaches and other staff to tailor program content consistent with the variable needs of students in different sports, age groups, and learning levels
  • Educate Performance Institute staff (“train the trainer”) on curriculum and training methodology
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through surveys and/or follow up conversations and provide suggestions for improvement according to feedback
  • Educate, train and supervise leadership coaches
  • Participate in the recruitment, management and development of the leadership department
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills and Ability 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Education, Theatre, and/or Fine Arts
  • Experience delivering improvisation, performing arts, communication skills, self-improvement, or motivational programs
  • Dynamic, engaging personality with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interface with a variety of audiences
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization
  • A superior work ethic
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Education, Theatre, Fine Arts
  • Bilingual

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
