Job Title:  Director, Parent Relations              

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Department:  Office of Advancement

Position Summary: Strategic liaison between parents, students and IMGA staff leading, managing and engaging the parents of current and former students to create and foster a sense of community between the parents and the campus.


Position Responsibilities

  • Creates, supports and executes programming, volunteer and other opportunities to build ties to the community
  • Directs communications designed to build strong ties between the parents and IMGA
  • Serves as point of contact and resource for IMG Academy parents facilitating communication, meetings and events
  • Consistently keeps families informed/educated on IMG Academy programs, policies and procedures via monthly meetings and weekly communications
  • Create programs to assist with orientation to campus, oversees parent ambassador program and coordinate Parents Weekend
  • Maintains parent email database, social media, and other ongoing communication to keep parents connected to the campus
  • Assists Director of Alumni Relations in contacting and engaging with alumni
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills and Ability 

  • Bachelor's degree, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired
  • Ability to solve or mitigate problems efficiently
  • Demonstrable planning, administrative, organizational, and budget skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with computerized data management programs and their application to the achievement of departmental and institutional goals
  • Demonstrates leadership ability to develop strategic plans, implement programs, organize, initiate and motivate staff, high-level volunteer, and interact successfully with faculty and staff
  • Flexibility to travel and attend evening and/or weekend planned events
  • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues


Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree
  • Bilingual
  • Experience with boarding school life


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
  • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
  • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
