    GENERAL SUMMARY:  The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the dining room team.  To ensure a positively memorable dining experience is had by guests through exceptional quality and service.

    Responsibilities

    • Greets all guests and associates in a friendly manner.
    • Displays exceptional customer service skills and understands rules of etiquette/flow of service for serving tables.
    • Assign tasks and coordinate activities of restaurant team to ensure prompt and courteous service.
    • Assist restaurant, room service and lounge bar teams when needed.
    • Assist in expediting food orders.
    • Communicate with guests that are dining to ensure a memorable experience.
    • Inspect the restaurant for quality and cleanliness, ensuring symmetry throughout the operation.
    • Assists in serving coffee and/or water upon greeting each table.
    • Presents guests with menu, suggested dinner courses, appropriate wines and answers questions regarding menu and food preparation.
    • Communicates orders with the kitchen or lounge bar and serves items from kitchen and lounge bar.
    • Ensures that dishes are prepared and presented correctly before serving to guest.
    • Thorough knowledge of restaurant POS systems.
    • Responsible for all training and re-training of entire restaurant team.
    • Ability to take menu orders over the phone and execute room service delivery with precision.
    • Inspects that all side work duties are complete and ensures that the dining room is clean and organized, ensuring that the following shift is set up for success.
    • Answer guest inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests and local area information
    • Maintain confidentiality of guest and proprietary information, protecting company assets.
    • Handles guest challenges in a friendly and courteous manner
    • Answers all phone calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
    • Comply with all Legacy Hotel and IMG credit policies.
    • Handle requests for information, mail and messages in an efficient and courteous manner.
    • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
    • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Legacy Hotel and IMG standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
    • Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel.
    • Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required.
    • Use proper two-way radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
    • Assist other departments when needed to ensure world class service to guests.
    • Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
    • Attend meetings as required by management.
    • Perform any other duties as requested by management.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience in hotel or restaurant is required.
    • Micros Symphony experience is preferred.
    • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
    • Ability to lift and move objects weighing 40 lbs. or more
    • Ability to stand for durations of shift.
    • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
    • Must maintain composure and objectivity while in stressful, high pressure situations.
    • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
    • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests.
    • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
    • Must have a positive attitude and have a team mindset.
    • Ability to assist when needed.
    • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
