    Job Title: Soccer Operations Assistant

    FLSA Status: Non Exempt

    Department:  Athletics, Soccer

    Position Summary:  Responsible for the day-to-day operational organization of the soccer program. Provide administrative support to the coaches, staff, and student-athletes to ensure operational excellence and delivery of the program.


    Position Responsibilities

    Team Equipment and Uniform Management

    • Assist in the ordering, distribution and maintenance of all training / game day uniforms, balls, equipment, etc.
    • Adhere to policies and procedures regarding distribution of equipment for all sports, to include fitting and issuance of equipment
    • Maintain inventory and records of incoming/outgoing equipment, apparel and gear
    • Develop strategy/calendar for equipment repair and maintenance
    • Assist with unpaid and overdue equipment for all student-athletes who have lost, damaged, or failed to return uniforms or equipment

    Team Roster Administration

    • Responsible for making player ID cards for all amateur players under appropriate league regulations for foreign and domestic players

    Soccer Facilities Management

    • Upkeep of all goals/benches/nets on site on a weekly scheduled basis
    • Oversee all sponsorship signage is accurate, up to date & acceptable (Signs Now/IMG Marketing)
    • General maintenance of Stadium Scoreboard ( bi-annually / as needed )(Daktronics/Scoreboard Enterprises)
    • Submit all maintenance tickets for all issues that cannot be resolved by soccer staff (Washing Machines/Cable/DVD, power)
    • Point of Contact for all Officials / Visiting Teams entering site ( Bus parking, field assignments, )
    • Assist in game day operations (Water, Gatorade activation, Athletic Trainer)
    • Prepare cameras/film/transfer and distribute match day films for game analysis & college coaches

    Team Relations

    • Liaison to all short time guests/teams (Assist with equipment, hydration and access to IMG facilities)

    USL Event and League Administration

    • Administrative assistant to General manager (USL) for all match day paperwork (scheduling/registration/match reports/payment of referees/press releases)
    • Adhere to all USL standards to avoid fines.
    • Locker Room / Field Set up (PA/scoreboard/announcement/signage/towels/water)


    • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
    • Other duties as assigned


    Knowledge, Skills and Ability 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Business or related field or experience
    • Experience in a collegiate sport specific program
    • Knowledge of High School athletics
    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
    • Ability to work with diverse group of student athletes, parents and staff
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to understand budgeting principles
    • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
    • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues


    Preferred Skills

    • Bilingual
    • Experience playing, coaching or managing a soccer team or club


    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
    • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
    • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
    • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
