    Job Title: Athletic Trainer- NFL Combine/NFL Pathway Program and Track Professionals

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Department: Athletic and Personal Development

    Position Summary: Provide Athletic Training Services under the direction of the Head of the Athletic Training in accordance with state athletic training practices

    Job Type: Full Time-Temporary


    Position Responsibilities

    • Athletic Trainer will be responsible for assisting with collegiate and international football athletes that are aspiring to play in the NFL. These athletes are preparing for NFL draft.
    • Assist with track and field professional athletes from across the world as they train at the Academy
    • Schedule MD appointments for athletes
    • Documentation for orthopedics screenings and daily treatments
    • Transportation of athletes to medical appointments
    • Communication with former NFL coaches regarding medical status of athletes
    • Treat athletic injuries including prevention, assessment, treatment and reconditioning
    • Work alongside physical therapist and athletic trainers
    • Provide on-field coverage of practices and skills sessions
    • Collaborate with physicians in order to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for athletic injuries.
    • Evaluate athletes' readiness to play, and provide participation clearances when necessary and warranted.
    • Responsible for following all HIPPA regulations and guidelines
    • Responsible for following all OSHA guidelines
    • Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
    • Other duties as assigned


    Knowledge, Skills and Ability 

    • Master’s Degree in Athletic Training
    • National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Training certification
    • Experience with football and track and field treatment and programs
    • Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Preferred Skills

    • Bilingual

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    • Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
    • Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
    • Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
    • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
